Barbera d'Alba

Cherry, blackberry and blueberry stand right at the front in G. D. Vajra's Barbera d'Alba. The fruit is dark and ripe, but the wine has the fresh acidity that makes Barbera so appetizing and makes the next glass feel like a perfectly natural decision. This is not a wine that requires years of ageing or a particularly formal dinner. It already tastes great now, while still having enough depth that it never feels simple. Organic.
